Donna is the Director of Chapman Upchurch Limited. She has worked in the practice for over 25 years.

Donna has a Bachelors Degree in Commerce Accounting from Victoria University and is a CA.

Donna grew up in Wellington in a family that ran several self-employed businesses from plumbing to catering to truck driving.

She started her working career stacking shelves in a supermarket and serving in a bakery. Her first full-time job was with Inland Revenue and she then moved to the NZ Forest Service. A two year period in Christchurch was spent working in the office of an automotive factory that made brake parts. Since then she has worked in public practice in Upper Hutt.

Her background in a variety of industries and small to medium size businesses, has given her a wealth of experience. She has first-hand insight into how these businesses run and she understands the pitfalls and issues that business owners are confronted with.

Donna loves getting out of the office, working alongside clients and being involved in helping them succeed. She believes that a financial advisor's role is to be a consultant to enable and empower business owners to grow their businesses into independent, sustainable entities. Her passion is to achieve this for her clients.

Donna enjoys working in a small community and being involved with people. She takes her work personally and takes care of people's financial affairs as she would her own. She prides the practice on being accessible to clients. Her work involves a variety of specialist projects, including succession, business sale and purchase or restructuring, as well as overseeing and reviewing the day-to-day operation of the practice.

Cathy Colpman

Bachelor of Business Studies (B.B.S.)

Cathy has over 20 years experience working in the accounting industry and joined the firm in January 2001.

She has a Bachelors Degree in Business Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting from the Open Polytechnic.

She has had experience with a wide variety of software systems including MYOB, Banklink, Xero, Quickbooks, MoneyWorks and MUSAC.

Cathy is responsible for the preparation of client accounts, tax returns, company administration and is the office Banklink administrator.

She enjoys working with clients to achieve solutions to accounting issues and helping clients achieve their business goals.

Kellie Williams


Kellie joined the firm in 1998 in a client support role.

She has a Diploma in Accounting from the Open Polytechnic, and has also received Xero Advisor certification.

In her client support role, Kellie is responsible for preparing Financial Reports, GST and Income Tax returns for clients.

Kellie has experience with a wide range of accounting and other software packages. These include MYOB, BankLink, Xero, MoneyWorks Gold, MUSAC, Word and Excel.

Kellie looks after the day-to-day IT needs of the office, including the website and social media. She is the administrator for the office's systems and workpapers, and enjoys using her computer skills for organisation and problem-solving.

Monique Johnstone


Monique has over 10 years experience working in the accounting industry and joined the firm in September 2013.

She is Xero Certified and also has a National Certificate in Business Administration (Level 4).

Monique is responsible for preparing Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns and GST returns.

She has experience in Banklink, MYOB and Xero.

Monique enjoys working through problems and achieving a good outcome.

Carol Cameron

Carol joined Chapman Upchurch in March 2015 in an admin/client support role.

She is responsible for all day-to-day office needs and is the main go-to person for all general enquiries.

Anne Joyce

Anne has 30 years' experience working in the accounting industry and joined the firm in 2016.

She has a Diploma in Business Studies from the Open Polytechnic and is currently working towards a Bachelor of Business Degree.

Anne's background includes working in the public sector for Inland Revenue, Management Accountant for General Motors and Financial Accountant in Chartered Accountancy firms.

She has had experience with a wide range of accounting and other software packages. These include MYOB, Xero, Word, Excel and custom-built accounting systems.

Anne is responsible for the preparation of Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, Wages and PAYE, Company Annual Returns, and GST Returns.

She enjoys building with relationships with clients to better understand their accounting needs.

Jet Upchurch

Jet is new to the accounting industry, and office life in general, and joined the firm in 2016 as a Greeter.

The role he has taken on is to welcome everyone who arrives at the office (when he's not sleeping, out for a walk or in a meeting).  

Jet is an enthusiastic and energetic worker who takes his job very seriously.

He often works in a important support role with Donna, sitting in on meetings with clients.

Jet enjoys meeting new people and welcoming back familiar faces.
